Modern life requires that we all sit—a lot. But the human body was designed to move. So try to move in functional ways everyday. If your job requires you to sit or stand in one place for long periods, take a break. Hike up and down a steep hill a few times or walk up and down a few flights of stairs. If that’s not hard enough for you, carry a pair of 3# dumbbells in your hands.
